Every year, Cantor Fitzgerald and our affiliate, BGC Partners, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate our 658 friends and colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who perished on September 11, 2001 by distributing 100% of our global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world. Each anniversary is a poignant occasion for us. Charity Day is our way of turning a tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting by helping others.

Many distinguished guests lent their support by joining us on the day. We were proud to welcome actors, models & musicians such as Brian Dennehy, Bridget Moynahan, Bryant Gumbel, Carey Lowell, Carol Alt, Christopher Jackson, David Costabile, Dionne Warwick, Gretchen Mol, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jenny McCarthy, Karina Smirnoff, Karolina Kurkova, Kristin Davis, Luna Velez, Padma Lakshmi, Petra Nemcova, Robert DeNiro, Rosie Perez, Steve Buscemi, Tamara Tunie, Tony Danza and Uzo Aduba. Leading Media Personalities included Bob Costas, Gayle King, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Scarlett Fu and Tom Keane. Many sports Icons joined the day, such as Darryl Strawberry, David Wells, Henrik Lundqvist, Jeff Hornacek, Jim Leyritz, Joe Theisman, John Franco, Kevin Shattenkirk, Larry Holmes, Larry Johnson, Leonard Marshall, Martin St.Louis, Mickey Rivers, Mike Breen, Mike Richter, Ray Mancini and Stan Smith. Lastly, other notable celebrity ambassadors included Redmond Ramos, Nicole Miller and President Bill Clinton.
